IT RAINS IN SCOTLAND

Scotlands climate condition isn't exactly the type you get at the Costa Del Sol. Make sure you take at least one of these:

  • a waterproof umbrella
  • a waterproof raincoat
  • warm clothes
  • waterproof shoes or boots
  • waterproof camping gear
umbrella
boots

ELECTRICITY

Scotland has a good electricity network. However.....

To make use of it you need to have the right plug adapter.

You can buy these in shops in your country and also in Scotland.

Travelling Tips

piper

Wanneer gaan ?

plane

“There are two seasons in Scotland: June and winter.”

Billy Connolly

When to go

Scotland is a year round destination

with continuous natural attractions, events and festivals.

The main season goes from Easter until October.

Between November and Easter many sights (i.e. historic houses) close their doors or apply reduced opening hours.

The weather can be unpredictable but certainly not as dramatic as some people think it is.

How Long ?

Scotland looks small on the map but that can be deceptive.

It is only 275 miles long but has 6,200 miles of coastline and 767 major islands

If you love cities or the great outdoors, Scotland has it all for you.

So stay as long as you like and come back for more
